Casual academic @ USyd

Today I had the unusual experience of receiving money from the University of Sydney, rather than having to pay them. Last semester I was teaching a few medicinal chemistry tutorials for the Faculty of Pharmacy and it was interesting to note that my classification was “casual academic”.

Alphanumeric route numbering in NSW

A couple of months ago I noticed new A2 route markers at various points on Old Windsor Road (and M2 markers on some of the signs on the Hills Motorway), replacing the hexagonal Metroad 2 markers.
